Evansville Water and Sewer Utility customers have a new online payment option

Customers can now pay on the Utility’s website with credit card, schedule reoccurring bill pay, and view statements and water consumption history

EVANSVILLE, Ind. – The Evansville Water and Sewer Utility is offering another convenient way for customers to pay online at www.ewsu.com/pay-bill. In addition to the reoccurring online payments option, which has been available for several years, now the Utility will offer customers the option to pay online using credit card, debit card or electronic check (e-Check).

All online payments are posted the day they’re submitted, which helps customers make a quick payment to avoid late fees. The new service also offers customers access to their recent statements and water consumption history.

Pay with credit card, debit card or e-Check and manage your account
To pay by credit card, debit card or e-Check, customers need their account number and customer ID, which can be found on their water bill. Visa, Discover, and MasterCard debit and credit cards are accepted.

This new service offers payers a fast, easy way to pay online and reap the benefits of convenience, cash management and credit card rewards. The service provider, Official Payments Holdings, Inc., charges a $2.95 fee per transaction for this service, which is generally lower than a late fee.

This online portal also enables all customers, regardless of how they pay, to access recent account statements and water consumption history. Go to www.ewsu.com/pay-bill.

Schedule reoccurring online bill pay
Customers may also set up an account for automatic reoccurring bill pay online. The service provider, Magic Writer, charges 19 cents per transaction for this service.

“We’re pleased to deliver our customers simple and convenient options for paying online, plus free access to viewing their statements and water consumption trend reports,” said Allen Mounts, director of the Evansville Water and Sewer Utility. “We believe these new features will be useful to both our residential and commercial customers.”
